Ethereum Developers Convene Above Arctic Circle for Soldøgn Network Upgrade Effort

In an extraordinary gathering above the Arctic Circle, more than 100 core contributors to Ethereum convened last week in Longyearbyen, Svalbard. The event, known as Soldøgn Interop, served as a focused week of collaboration dedicated to advancing the Glamsterdam network upgrade, a key step for Ethereum's ongoing development.

This iteration of Soldøgn marked a return to the collaborative format previously seen in Ethereum development sessions such as Amphora and Edelweiss. Contributors used the opportunity to work side-by-side in a remote, intense environment, fostering progress and deep technical discussion on interoperability and upgrade implementation.

Soldøgn follows last year’s Berlinterop event, continuing an annual tradition of Ethereum core developers coming together in unique locations to tackle network upgrades.
